It's alright. It is probably way too easy, though, in the version I played. I beat the game 4 times, once with each weapon, and only ever got hit ONCE and that was because the game generated such a small level that nearly everything aggro'd at once.
Some suggestions:
- Raise the base speed of the whole game. The beginning is slow and boring, and max movement speed is the only speed that really feels reasonable. Enemies and enemy projectiles should move a bit faster too.
- Different upgrade paths/options per weapon. For example, rifle gets the most penetration. Shotgun doesn't get penetration, but gets more bullets per shot. Burst rifle gets some penetration and maybe something else interesting.
- If the difficulty raises, maybe the starting health should too.
- A minimap would be nice.
- What even is the point of souls?
It's a good start. I was at least having enough fun to play through every weapon once, so there's that.
